Biography

Who am I? Since 2016 I have been working as a plastic surgeon at the Imelda hospital and the AZ Jan Portaels hospital in Vilvoorde. Career In 2009 I received a Master in Medicine diploma with the highest distinction at the University of Antwerp. Then, for two years, I followed a general surgical training at the AZ Sint-Jan in Bruges under the direction of Dr. Bruno Dillemans. I completed four years of training as a plastic surgeon at the University of Ghent under the direction of Prof. dr. Stan Monstrey and Prof. dr. Phillip Blondeel. In addition to general plastic surgery, the focus was mainly on reconstructive as well as aesthetic breast surgery. After this training, I followed additional training with some renowned surgeons abroad. I further educated myself in the aesthetic facial surgery at Dr. Barry Jones in London and at Prof. dr. Yixin Zhang in Shanghai (China). Finally, I followed additional training in breast surgery and aesthetic surgery after weight loss with Dr. Craig Layt in Australia. I have been appointed fellow of the Collegium Chirurgicum Plasticum (CCP) and member of the Royal Belgian Society for Plastic Surgery (RBSPS). I regularly participate in national and international congresses to learn new techniques and trends in plastic surgery.
