Biography
ince January 2017 I am a member of the ophthalmology team at the Imelda hospital. Career After obtaining my diploma in medicine at KU Leuven in 2008, I specialized in eye diseases until 2012 in UZ Leuven and AZ St. Lucas Brugge. After that I trained myself further in cataract surgery in Kanpur (India) and in eyelid surgery in AZ Monica Deurne. In 2015 I achieved the special skills in corneal, cataract and refractive laser surgery after a sub specialization year in Vancouver (Canada). In addition to my work at the Imelda hospital, I am also active as a corn surgeon at the UZ Brussel where I train ophthalmologist's assistants. conduct scientific research into corneal diseases and transplants. In this respect I gave lectures at numerous international congresses and published scientific articles. In addition, I am a member of professional associations such as ESCRS, Cornea Society and ESOPRS for further training.
