Research Interest

I did my medical studies at KU Leuven and obtained my diploma in medicine, surgery and obstetrics in 1988. Then I specialized in internal medicine (from 1988 to 1994) and got my professional title nephrology. Expert domain: Staff member diabetes endocrinology. Usually I am concerned with treating diabetes and thyroid gland, further special endocrinology: pituitary problems with interest in acromegaly, adrenal pathology, parathyroid gland, .... Kidney disease and dialysis in all facets: diabetic kidney disease, follow-up of chronic renal failure, hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, follow-up after transplantation with special interest in combined kidney and pancreas transplantation.
