Biography

Mr. Albert M. Baehny serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Geberit International AG. Mr. Baehny has been with Geberit since January 2003. He served as the Chief Executive Officer of Geberit Group since 2005 until 2014. He served as the Chief Executive Officer of Geberit AG until January 1, 2015 and was its Member of Group Executive Board since 2003 and Head of Strategic Planning Division. He served as the Head of Group Division Marketing and Sales, Europe of Geberit AG. He gained technological and industrial experiences. In 1979, he started his career in the research department of Serono-Hypolab in 1979. In his further career he held various management positions in the marketing and sales area with Dow Chemicals Europe from 1981 to 1993 and Ciba Geigy from 1994 to 2000 (later Ciba SC and Vantico from 2000 to 2001). He served as a senior vice president of the specialities division of Wacker Chemie AG. since 2003. Wacker Chemie. In more than 20 years, Mr. Baehny has gained vast experience in the marketing and sales area, strategic marketing, division management and as a member of a group executive board. Mr. Baehny has been a Director of Lonza Group Ltd since April 25, 2017. He served as Director of the “Wacker Specialities” business division and member of the extended Group Executive Board of Wacker Chemie GmbH. He has been Non-Executive Chairman of the Board at Geberit AG since 2015. He served as Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors at Geberit AG since 2011 until 2014. Mr. Baehny has been a Director of Investis Holding SA since 2016. Mr. Baehny graduated with a degree in biology from the University of Fribourg (CH).
