Biography

Mr. Juergen B. Steinemann served as the Chief Executive Officer of Barry Callebaut AG from August 1, 2009 to September 30, 2015. Mr. Steinemann served as the Managing Director of Trouw Nutrition International a.i. He served as Chief Operating Officer and Member of Executive Board at Nutreco N.V (formerly Nutreco Holding NV) from October 2001 to April 2009 and served as its Managing Director of Business Group of Agri Feed NW Europe & Breeding and Chief Operating Officer of Agriculture. He joined Nutreco in October 2001. Prior to Nutreco, he served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Loders Croklaan and VOC, part of the Unilever Group from 1999 to 2001. From 1990 to 1998, he was Eridania Beghin-Say Group, where he held different senior positions in business-to-business marketing and sales and last, in 'Corporate Plan et Stratégie' at the head office in Paris. He gained his experience in sales, marketing, planning and strategy and general management with Unilever in Germany and the UK and Fuchs Spices in Germany. He has been an Independent Director at Lonza Group Ltd since April 16, 2014. He served as Vice Chairman of Barry Callebaut AG since December 1, 2014 and has been its Director since December 1, 2014. He serves as Member of the Supervisory Boards at Dörken AG (Germany) and Plukon Royale B.V. He serves as a Member of the Board of the Swiss-American Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Steinemann studied Economics and Business Management at the European Business School in Wiesbaden, London and Paris in 1985.
