Biography
Pierre Courduroux is Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Monsanto Company. With a continued focus on compliance, efficient processes, and providing quality business support, he leads the organization’s business financial planning, company financing, risk management, and execution activities. Since joining Monsanto in 1989, Pierre has played a leading role in the company and its transformation from a chemical business to an industry-leading agricultural and technology company. With more than 25 years of experience, his efforts have included key leadership in Monsanto’s Europe & Africa business, Global Vegetable business, and Global Commercial operations. As CFO, Pierre oversaw the acquisition of the Climate Corporation, which quickly developed as a cornerstone of Monsanto’s industry leadership in providing integrated, digital agriculture solutions. He also led the company’s balanced capital allocation strategy, returning more than $13 billion to owners via dividends and share repurchases from 2013 to 2016. A native of Clermont-Ferrand, France, Pierre is now a resident of St. Louis and is an active contributor in the community. He participates in educational and STEM initiatives as a board member for the Magic House, a not-for-profit children’s museum whose mission is to engage children in hands-on learning experiences. Pierre holds a business degree with a major in finance from the Ecole Supérieure de Commerce de Lyon in Lyon, France, and an MBA from Washington University in St. Louis.
