Jennifer

Biography

Jennifer is a Nurse Practitioner and holds a Masters of Nursing degree from the University of Toronto (2013). She holds certification in Neuroscience Nursing from the Canadian Nurses Association (2009). She is also an adjunct lecturer through academic appointment with the University of Toronto in the MN-NP program. Jennifer started her nursing career at The Ottawa Hospital as a staff nurse in Neurology/Thoracic Surgery before pursuing jobs as a research coordinator in Thrombosis Research, Stroke Clinical Resource Nurse and most recently as a Nurse Practitioner with Bruyere Continuing Care. As APN for Neurosurgery Jennifer’s primary responsibility is the pre and post-operative medical management of Neurosurgery patients while leading a team of healthcare professionals in the safe discharge of patients from the hospital Additionally, she is responsible for collaborating with team members in the development and implementation of quality improvement programs related to the Neurosurgery patient population. Jennifer is also involved in research for patients who have been diagnosed with glioblastoma brain tumours.
