Biography
Dr. Bogaerts finished her master in Biology (Animal Physiology) at the Catholic University of Leuven (KUL) in 2006. That year she was awarded for best master thesis 2005-2006 from the alumni association of Biology at KUL. Thereafter, she received a PhD grant from the Scientific Research Foundation Flanders (FWO Flanders) for performing doctoral research and obtained her PhD in May 2010. She worked as post-doctoral researcher at the KUL before starting to work at ReGenesys in March 2011. She was assigned as scientist, responsible for study design and data analysis of proteomics and genomics projects. Passionate for horses and animals overall, she inspired the Animal Health Program. She currently leads this program as senior scientist, Head Animal Health.
