Ulrik Cordes

Biography

Mr. Ulrik Cordes, MSc, has been Executive Vice President of Pharma Collaborations and Companion Diagnostics at Biocartis Group NV since November 17, 2016. Mr. Cordes serves as Executive Vice President of Pharma Collaborations and Companion Diagnostics at Biocartis NV. He has special experience in strategy, commercial partnering, global goto market strategies and M&A activities. He served as Chief Commercial Officer of Biocartis Group NV since September 2013 until November 17, 2016. Mr. Cordes joined Biocartis from Thermo Fisher Scientific, where he served as Global Sales & Marketing Director Slides & Specialty Glass since March 2012. Since 2002, he worked at DAKO A/S - A World-leading Company in Cancer Diagnostics, where he held a number of positions with increasing responsibility, served as Vice President Marketing Operations and Vice President of Asia Pacific & Export. He  speerheaded M&A transactions including the DakoCytomation merger and the Cytologix acquisition. He also successfully led Dako’s market expansion through commercial partnering and the establishment of subsidiaries in amongst others China and Brazil.  He started his career in 1995 in Pharmacia Biotech A/S (now part of GE Healthcare). He served as Vice President of Strategic Business for Life Sciences of Dako A/S (Alternatively Dakocytomation A/s) since 2004. His Previous experience include: Executive Assistant of DakoCytomation from 2001 to 2004; International Product Manager of ALK-Abelló A/S from 1998 to 2001. He served as Product Specialist of Amersham Pharmacia Biotech A/S from 1996 to 1998. He holds a Pre-graduate job in M&E Biotech A/S from 1994 to 1995 and holds an M.Sc. in Biochemistry from University of Copenhagen from 1989 to 1995. Mr. Cordes holds Bachelor of Commerce of Copenhagen Business School from 1997 to 2000. He received his Master of Science in Biochemistry from the University of Copenhagen.
