Biography
Daniele Ferrari, 55, is Chief Executive Officer of Versalis and Chairman of Matrìca, the50:50 joint venture withNovamont on renewable chemistry. Over 25 years of experience in the chemical industry through a variety of business. He worked for ICI in several managerial assignments in marketing, planning and business management. From the UK, he managed the development of their global Fluorocarbons and Synthetic Lubricants business. He was then appointed Global BU Director for the Huntsman Polyurethanes Intermediates in Brussels. He also served as Managing Director of Huntsman Surface Science, Vice President EMEA and then Division President of Huntsman Performance Products in Houston, Texas. Under his leadership, in 2012, Versalis started a strategic repositioning of its asset base, portfolio and geography by refocusing on higher value-added products and a strengthened exposure to global markets, emphasizing R&D and leveraging licensing and new partnerships. Ferrari is also President of PlasticsEurope Italy and Vice President of PlasticsEurope Brussels. He is also Vice President of Federchimica.
