Biography
Dimitri de Vreeze (Dutch) studied Business Economics at the University in Groningen and did a Post Graduate Finance/Controller at the University in Maastricht. In 1990 he joined DSM at the Fine-chemical division as member of the Merger & Acquisition team. From 1992 to 1997, he was active in the Special Products division, first as controller and later on as Area Sales Manager. Thereafter he was given leadership of Sizings & Binders unit as Business Manager (based in Italy) till 2002. In 2002, he moved to Switzerland to take the position as Business Director for Composite Resins Europe. In 2004 he moved back to the Netherlands to become Corporate Director M&A. He was responsible and involved in 3 major acquisitions and became Business Unit Director of the then acquired NeoResins business in 2006. In 2010 he was made President and Business Group Director of DSM Resins & Functional Materials, the overall DSM Resins division. Dimitri became a Member of the Managing Board per September 1st, 2013.
