Biography
Luís Rebelo da Silva is the CFO of CUF Industrial Chemicals, where he is also a member of its Board of Directors. Luís currently also serves as President of APEQ – Portuguese Association of Chemical Companies, and as a Director of CIP – Confederation of Portuguese Industry. Prior to joining CUF Industrial Chemicals in early 2015, he worked for more than 18 years in several other businesses within the José de Mello group, the parent company of CUF. During this period, Luís held a number of management positions across different companies and industries, including managing director of José de Mello SGPS (group’s holding company) in 2014, CFO and board member of Efacec (energy & environment solutions company) from 2011 to 2013, executive board member of CCR (motorway concessions company in Brazil) from 2007 to 2010, strategic planning director of Brisa (motorway concessions company in Portugal) from 2001 to 2006 and deputy director of special operations at Banco Mello (banking), starting in 1996. Earlier in his career, he worked for ICEP, Portugal’s former investment and economic promotion agency, and in the venture capital industry as investment analyst and portfolio manager. Luís, a Portuguese national, graduated in Management and Business Administration from Instituto Superior de Economia e Gestão (ISEG) in Lisbon. Luís Rebelo da Silva is the CFO of CUF Industrial Chemicals, where he is also a member of its Board of Directors.
