Chris Buyse

Biography

  Mr. Chris Buyse serves as Managing Partner of Fund+ NV. Mr. Buyse has been Managing Partner of Fund+ since May 2015. Mr. Buyse served as the Chief Financial Officer and Executive Director of ThromboGenics NV from August 2006 to June 30, 2014. Mr. Buyse has over 25 years of international financial experience in introducing best financial management practices. Mr. Buyse served as Finance Director of WorldCom/MCI Belux, a European subsidiary of one of the world’s largest telecom companies. He also held financial positions at Spector Photo Group, Suez Lyonnaise des Eaux and Unilever. Prior to joining CropDesign, he served as Finance Manager of WorldCom/MCI Belux and Chief Financial Officer and interim Chief Executive Officer of Keyware Technologies. He served as the Chief Financial Officer of Thrombogenics Ltd. He served as the Chief Financial Officer of the Belgian biotech company CropDesign, where in July 2006 he coordinated the acquisition by BASF. Mr. Buyse served as a Financial Manager of WorldCom/MCI Belux, a European subsidiary of the world´s largest telecommunication companies. Mr. Buyse served as the General Manager of Keyware Technologies NV since December 1, 2001 and also served as its Chief Financial Officer and Interim Chief Executive Officer. He served as Internal Auditor of Unilever N.V. from December 1988 to April 1992. He served as a Financial Controller of Watco N.V. (Suez-Lyonnaise des Eaux) from July 1992 to February 1998. He served as a Group Manager Control & Audit with Spector Photo Group from February 1998 to November 2000. He serves as a Member of the Advisory Board at Inventiva S.A. He serves as Director at iTeos Therapeutics SA. He has been Independent Director of Bone Therapeutics SA since 2014. He has been a Director of Life Sciences Research Partners vzw since May 2015. He has been an Independent Director of Celyad SA since 2008. He serves as an Independent Director of Keyware Technologies NV. He serves as Board Member of Fund+. He serves as Non Executive Director of Bioxodes SA. In addition, he also served several financial positions as financial controller and internal auditor at Suez Lyonnaise des Eaux. He served as a Director of Keyware Technologies NV since December 2001. Mr. Buyse holds a university degree in applied economics from the Antwerp University UFSIA (Belgium), a management degree from the University of Ghent (Belgium) and a Master degree in Finance from the VLEKHO institute in Brussels (Belgium).
