Biography
Build up, organize, routinely manage and lead the Cell Culture Process Development group within Biologics development. Direct scientific research for the development of biologics and of enabling technologies and platform process development for cell culture bio processing. Direct the strategy and the teams for both early and late stage cell culture process development of our UCB’s protein molecules. Apply advanced principles and techniques for the development and production of large molecule therapeutics. Manage a diverse and dynamic workforce of scientists and collaborate with partner functions in New Medicines (research), Biopharmaceutical Process Sciences and technical Operations. Build and maintain effective collaborations with contract Manufacturing organizations and external suppliers.
Research Interest
Ensure : • Upstream process development and characterization of UCB’s protein molecules. • Support CMC regulatory filings for upstream processes. • Toxicology production. • CCPD serves as process sciences leader and subject matter expert in the scale up and process transfer to CMOs and pilot plant (ex: bioreactors operating parameters: aeration and agitation strategies), pilot plant’s hotline for upstream processes.
