Biography
Mr. Buckup joined Univar in February 2012 as VP Finance of Univar Brazil, and has served as VP Finance of Latin America since 2015. Prior to Univar, Mr. Buckup held the CFO role for the joint venture between Dow/Mitsu in Brazil. He previously spent 18 years in a variety of roles with Dow Chemical in both the Audit and the Controller’s groups, as well as serving as the Business Finance global leader for the Engineering Plastics business. While at Dow, he lived and worked in Michigan for eight years and worked on-site with various projects on five continents. He also served as a member of the Ethics & Compliance Committee of Dow Chemical in Latin America. Mr. Buckup earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo, and holds an M.B.A. from the University of Michigan. He has also completed a General Management program at the University of Michigan.
