Biography
Ms. Burgener joined Univar in April 2007 and serves as our Vice President of Corporate Taxation and is responsible for all global income tax matters for the company. From August 2000 to March 2007, Ms. Burgener held the lead tax position for the North American operations of the HeidelbergCement Group, one of the world’s largest building materials companies, with operations in 40 countries. From May 1994 to July 2000, Ms. Burgener held the lead global tax position for Exide Technologies, one the world’s largest producers, distributors, and recyclers of lead-acid batteries, with operations in 80 countries. Prior to that, she was a tax manager with KPMG LLP. Ms. Burgener is a member of the American Society of Certified Public Accountants and the Tax Executives Institute. She holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Arizona State University and a master’s degree in taxation from Villanova University. Ms. Burgener is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in the state of California.
