Biography

Over 20 years experience working in the Pharmaceutical industry specialising in Drug Discovery and Preclinical Development and in particular DMPK strategy development and implementation (small molecules and peptides). Recognised expert in DMPK with excellent communication, collaboration and leadership skills and a proven track record for the creative application of a broad range of integrated DMPK knowledge to influence the design of novel therapeutics for the progression of discovery programmes with particular focus on disorders of the Central Nervous System and Infectious Diseases. Dedicated to increasing the efficiency of Drug Discovery through pragmatic and entrepreneurial approaches to drug design to improve the quality of molecules advanced as potential new medicines.

Specialties include:  Optimisation/delivery of small molecules to the brain.  Role of transporters. Outsourcing of non-GLP studies to emerging markets including outsourcing of whole discovery projects. Strategies for optimisation of peptides. PKPD, Modeling & Simulation, Human PK predictions.
