Biography
I have been working at GERME as a researcher since 2003. I have worked on several public policy analysis missions and for the past 10 years I have been analyzing the political impact of the inclusion of Islam in Belgian society. My doctoral thesis focused on the dynamics of visibility of Islam in public space, especially mosques and the feast of sacrifice. Since 2008, I have also been working on the political participation of Muslims in Belgium and since 2013 on the issue of Islamophobia. Finally, since 2012 I am also interested in the Roma issue in Belgium and Europe. I take part in a series of NGO meetings on the subject to raise public and political awareness of the issue. Since 1 January 2013, I have been working on the development of DiverCity, the first spin-off in social and political sciences at ULB. DiverCity was supported by Innoviris through the Spin Off in Brussels program. Its missions are centered around diversity consultancy, taking responsibility for action research, whose objective is focused on decision support, organizing diversity training and diversity audits. DiverCity received the support of Ernst & Young.
