Biography
Michel Huysseune, Ph.D., lecturer at the ULB, is a professor of political science at Vesalius College (Brussels) and a researcher at the Vakgroep Politieke Wetenschappen (VUB). His research concerns the history of political thought, the construction of political ideologies and in particular nationalism and regionalism in the EU. He is the author of "Modernity and Secession." The Social Sciences and the Political Discourse of the Lega in Italy, Oxford, Berghahn, 2006 and numerous articles on nationalism and regionalism in Europe.
