Biography
Geert Braeckman obtained the degree of master in electronics (specialty: telecom) in 1997 and the degree of master in applied computer science in 1999. For the last 10 years he has been involved in various research projects in the areas of acoustical analysis, hardware/software co design for reconfigurable computing and image processing. Geert is a member of the ETRO department since 2006, where he is currently working as a research engineer. His research interests are multimedia compression and implementation of multimedia processing algorithms.
