Biography
Dr. Ma is a cancer epidemiologist who studies the etiology and health outcomes of different types of cancer, with a particular focus on pediatric cancer (i.e., cancer that occur in children 0-19 years) and malignancies of the hematopoietic system (e.g., leukemia, lymphoma, myelodysplastic syndromes, and myeloproliferative neoplasms). Her research has addressed the impact of immunological factors, chemical exposures, and genetic characteristics on the risk of pediatric cancer.
