Biography

Dr. Quiceno is originally from Colombia, South America. He attended medical school at CES University there and continued his training in Internal Medicine at the University of Miami.  Due to his interest in immunology and systemic inflammatory diseases, he did his fellowship in Rheumatology at UT Southwestern Medical Center. Following his residency, he worked at Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas where he was very involved in teaching and became associate program director of the Internal Medicine residency program there.  In 2006 he moved to private practice but because he missed the academic environment and the opportunity to teach, he returned to UT Southwestern as faculty.  He brings with him experience in clinical medicine and teaching.  His motivation is to participate in the training of future physicians that could contribute to the community.  At the personal level he is married to Dr. Mary Ellen Quiceno, Director of the Memory Disorders Clinic at UT Southwestern and is the father of three daughters.
