Biography

Hugo Zattera was appointed president of Agrale SA, a traditional Brazilian assembler of trucks, utilities, chassis, tractors and engines. Since the beginning of August, the executive has assumed the presidency of the national automaker and also has accumulated the presidency of its Board of Directors. Hugo Zattera was director-superintendent of the company, position that assumed in 1996, during the process of restructuring of the company. During this period, the executive led the actions to expand Agrale, which resulted in its internationalization and expansion of product lines, favoring the vehicle area, which now represents more than 60% of sales. He was also responsible for executing a policy of alliances with important cooperation agreements with companies such as International Trucks and Marcopolo, among others. Hugo Zattera is also the main leader of the companies Agritech Lavrale, a company that manufactures tractors, agricultural implements, auto parts and Yanmar diesel engines, and Fundituba Indústria Metalúrgica Ltda.
