Biography

Carlos José is president of the AG Brazil Business Unit. Holding degrees in Accounting and Law and an MBA in Business Management from the Getulio Vargas Foundation (FGV), he joined the AG Group in 1985 as an assets assistant. Carlos José was also commercial manager and commercial superintendent before leading the Commercial Vice Presidency for Public Infrastructure Brazil. Aligned with the strategic directives of AG Engineering, AG Brazil migrated to a more concise model targeting technical and operational excellence. In addition to its public clients, AG Brazil focuses on pubic private partnerships (PPPs) in sanitation, housing, urban mobility and contracts with service provision concessionaires. The area he commands is responsible for prospecting contracts, defining business strategies, and analyzing performance and contract execution indicators. Its most recent achievements include the Sao Lourenço Water Production System and Bahia Subway, recovering and reinforcing the Port of Santos quays, Sao Paulo Subway Line 5, the Transolympic Express Corridor and the Via Light highway extension, the last two in Rio de Janeiro.
