Biography

Chemical Engineer, with a Masters and PhD in the Chemical Engineering Program of COPPE / UFRJ in the subject of separation processes with membranes. She is a senior researcher at the Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation, Embrapa, where she works in the area of ​​Food Science and Technology, with emphasis on the recovery and valuation of food agroindustry co-products and the processing of juices and beverages through membrane technology and microencapsulation. Coordinates research projects with funding from Embrapa, CNPq, Faperj, Finep and UE on the effect of processing on the nutritional, functional and sensorial quality of fruit juices, recovery of aromas by pervaporation and recovery and valorization of protein and non-protein co-products from agribusiness fish, milk and fruit processing. Permanent Professor in the postgraduate programs in Food Science of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) and the Graduate Program in Food Science and Technology of the Federal Rural University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRRJ). He has already taught 30 master's theses and 13 doctoral theses. At present, he teaches 2 masters and 10 doctoral students. He has published 94 articles in specialized journals, 20 book chapters and 2 books. General Manager of Embrapa Agroindústria de Alimentos and member of the Board of Directors of Pesagro. 2 masters and 10 doctoral students. He has published 94 articles in specialized journals, 20 book chapters and 2 books. General Manager of Embrapa Agroindústria de Alimentos and member of the Board of Directors of Pesagro. 2 masters and 10 doctoral students. He has published 94 articles in specialized journals, 20 book chapters and 2 books. General Manager of Embrapa Agroindústria de Alimentos and member of the Board of Directors of Pesagro.
