Biography
Mr. Carlos Jose da Silva serves as the Non-Executive Vice Chairman of the Board of Banco Comercial Portugues SA since February 28, 2012. Within the Company, he is a Member of the International Strategy and of Nominations and Evaluations Committees. Previously, he served as Member of the Supervisory Board of the Company from 2011 until February 28, 2012. He is Member of the Corporate Governance Committee of the Company. He is also Chairman of the Commission for Nominations and Evaluations. As of 2010 he has been Chairman of the Board of Directors of Angola Management School and Interoceanico Capital SGPS SA and Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sociedade Baia de Luanda; Since 2009, he has been Founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Banco Privado Atlantico Europa; and since 2006, he has been Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Banco Privado Atlantico. In the past, he served as Founder and Executive Director of Banco Espirito Santo Angola (Besa), Founder and Lawyer at Carlos Jose da Silva e Associados, among others. He gained a Licentiate degree in Legal Studies from the Universidade de Lisboa.
