Biography
Mr. Progreso Vañó Puerto served as executive director of the finance area of the Banco BNL do Brasil from 1989 to 2004. Mr. Puerto acted as manager of Lloyds Bank. From 1970 to 1984, he occupied several management and board positions at the Banco do Comércio e Indústria de São Paulo. Mr. Puerto has been acting as executive director of the Brazilian Banking Association ( Associação Brasileira de Bancos or ABBC) Since 2004, being responsible for the management and organization of the entity. He has been an Independent Director of Banco Cruzeiro do Sul S/A since January 2007. Mr. Puerto was a member of the executive board of Banco London Multiplic, responsible for the resources areas. Mr. Puerto has a degree in Economic Sciences and post-graduate degree in Accounting Sciences from the Faculdade de Economia e Administração of the Universidade de São Paulo, with post-graduation in Economic Theory by FIPE-USP.
