Siqing Chen

Biography

Mr. Siqing Chen has been the Chairman of the Board at Bank of China Limited since August 2017 and its Executive Director since January 28, 2014. Mr. Chen served as the President and Vice Chairman at Bank of China Limited from February 2014 to August 2017 and from April 2014 to August 2017 respectively. He served as an Executive Vice President of Bank of China Limited from June 2008 to February 2014. He joined Bank of China in 1990 and worked in the Hunan Branch of Bank before he was seconded to the Hong Kong Branch of China and South Sea Bank Ltd. as an Assistant General Manager. He held various positions in Bank of China from June 2000 to May 2008, including Assistant General Manager, Vice General Manager of Fujian Branch, General Manager of the Risk Management Department of the Head Office and General Manager of the Guangdong Branch. He has been the Chairman of Bank of China (Hong Kong) Limited and Bank of China (Hong Kong) Limited since August 29, 2017. He has been the Chairman and Non-Executive Director of BOC Aviation Limited (also known as BOC Aviation Pte. Ltd.) since December 13, 2011. He served as Vice Chairman of BOC Hong Kong Holdings Ltd. (Also known as BOCHK (Holdings)) since March 25, 2014 until August 30, 2017. He served as Vice Chairman of Bank of China (Hong Kong) Limited since March 25, 2014 until August 2017 and has been its Non-Executive Director since December 15, 2011. He has been a Non-Executive Director of BOC Hong Kong Holdings Ltd. since December 15, 2011. Mr. Chen has been a Certified Public Accountant of The Chinese Institute of Certified Public Accountants since April 1994. He Graduated from the Hubei College of Finance and Economics in July 1982. Mr. Chen obtained an M.B.A. from the Murdoch University, Australia in January 1999.
