Biography

Mr. Luiz Gonzaga Veras Mota has been Chairman of Executive Board, Chief Executive Officer and Member of Executive Board of Banco do Estado do Rio Grande do Sul S.A. since April 16, 2015 and serves as its President. Mr. Mota served as the Chief Financial Officer and Asset Management Director of Bco Estado do Rio Grande do Sul SA. He served as a Member of Executive Officers Board at Bco Estado do Rio Grande do Sul SA. He served as an Executive Officer at Companhia Uniãode Seguros Gerais from April 1998 to January 1999. He joined Banrisul in 1979 and served as its Head of The Real Estate Credit Department from 1994 to 1995, Head of the Risk Management Department from 1996 to 1997, Head of the Financial Department from 1997 to 1998, Head of Organization and Method Department from January 1999 to September 1999, Regional Superintendent from 1999 to 2003, Executive Superintendent at the Retail Commercial Unit from 2003 to 2006, Third Party's Fund Administration Officer from 2006 to 2010, Financial Officer from 2010 to April 2011, Executive Superintendent of the Financial Unit from 2011 to 2015, Chairman of the Fundraising and Fund Allocation Committee from 1997 to 1998, Sitting Member of the Credit Committee from 1994 to 1998, Sitting Member of Banrisul's Credit Committee from 2003 to 2006,Coordinator of the Technology and Business Committee from 2003 to 2006 and Member of the Fundraising and Fund Allocation Committee from 2003 to 2006. He graduated in Economics from Fundação Educacional de São Gabriel and Teacher Training from Instituição Educacional São Judas Tadeu, with a Graduate Degree in Administration and Finances from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), specialization in Accounting from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul (PUCRS), specialization in Banking Administration from the State Commercial Bank Association (Asbace),specialization in Marketing from ADVB.
