Biography
Ivan Ramalho was President of ABECE, and actually is the High General Representative of the Mercosur. He is economist, a retired official of the Banco do Brasil, member of the Board of Directors of BNDESPar and Board Member of the Foundation Studies Center of Foreign Trade (Funcex). Ramalho worked at MDIC for 16 years, where he served as Executive Secretary from 2005 to 2010 and has held many times over as Minister of State. He also held the position of Secretary of Foreign Trade of MDIC between 2003 and 2006. He left the federal government in late 2010. Ivan Ramalho was also Director of the Department of Foreign Trade Operations (Decex), Deputy Secretary of Secex and Coordinator of the technical group responsible for the preparation and implementation of the Integrated Foreign Trade (Siscomex).
