Biography
LUIZ FERNANDO FURLAN, Brazilian, 66 years old, married, graduated in Chemical Engineering from FEI (Industrial Engineering Faculty) and in Business Administration from University of Santana - São Paulo, with extension and specialization courses in Brazil and abroad, focused on stock market, foreign trade and agribusiness. Was Minister of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade of Brazil from 2003 to 2007. Numerous executive positions from 1976 to 2002 at Sadia S.A., a leading producer of frozen foods in Brazil, including Chairman of the Board of Directors from 1992 to 2002 and 2008 to 2009. Was Co-chairman of the Board of Director of BRF - Brasil Foods from 2009 to 2011. At present, he is member of the Board of Directors of BRF-Brasil Foods S.A., AMIL Participações S.A., Telefónica S.A. (Spain), Telefônica do Brasil S.A. and AGCO Corporation (USA) as well as member of Advisory Board of Panasonic (Japan) and Wal-Mart (USA). He is Chairman of Sustainable Amazonas Foundation.
