Biography
Pedro is the Managing Partner of Veirano Advogados. In the beginning of 2011, Pedro was appointed as the Honorary Consul of India in the city of Rio de Janeiro working intensively to promote business between the two countries. Pedro came back to Veirano after more than 20 years, returning to the firm where he started his career. Before rejoining Veirano, Pedro was Global General Counsel and Secretary to the Board of Directors of Vale do Rio Doce, for 6 years. Pedro also held the positions of General Counsel for Brasil Telecom S.A., in Brasilia, for 3 years after its privatization, and General Counsel for Organizações Odebrecht ( Construction and Concession) for 8 years, in Sao Paulo, and Senior Counsel at the International Finance Corporation – IFC for 6 years, in Washington D.C, USA. He started his career with Veirano (which was then the Rio de Janeiro office of Baker & McKenzie), having also practiced in Chicago at the Baker & McKenzie headquarters.
