Biography
e holds a degree in Agronomy from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (1987) and a master's degree in Phytotechnology from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (1991). He is currently a researcher at the Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation. He has 24 years of experience in research projects in the Vitiviniculture field - emphasis in Oenology and Sensorial Analysis. Since 1989 he coordinates the Laboratory of Sensory Analysis of Embrapa Grape and Wine, developing and participating in projects in the areas of Grape Production Systems for Processing, Technology and Winemaking and Derivatives (including functional value of wines), quality control and characterization of wines from the new regions and in the work of Geographical Indications. Since 1993 he has participated in the technical coordination of the National Wine Evaluation, event of the Brazilian Association of Oenology. He has a solid background in Oenology and Sensory Analysis (UC Davis) and participated as a jury or jury president in several national and international competitions.
