Biography
He holds a bachelor's degree in Agronomy from the Federal University of Viçosa (1992), a Master's degree in plant protection (1995) from UFV, a master's degree in Phytopathology from Universidade Federal de Viçosa (1996), PhD at Plant Pathology - Cornell University - USA (2001) and postdoctoral degree in plant cytogenetics - Wageningen University - The Netherlands (2008). He is currently Researcher at Embrapa Agroenergy.
Research Interest
He has experience in the area of ​​Agronomy, with emphasis on Phytopathology, working mainly on the following topics: Pathogens interaction x hosts at molecular and ultrastructural level, Plant cytogenetics (physical mapping of genes in meiotic chromosomes), besides the development of light microscopy techniques and to support the functional characterization of genes.
