Biography
Mr. Antonio Kandir serves as Independent Director at CPFL Energia SA. He was Minister of State for Planning and Budget, Federal Deputy, President of the National Privatization Council, Brazilian Governor at the IDB, Special Secretary for Economic Policy, President of the Institute of Applied Economic Research (IPEA), CEO of Kandir and Associados S / C Ltda. (1992-1994) and coordinator of studies at Itaú Planning and Engineering (1981-1982), director of private equity and hedge funds. Partner of Governança & Gestão Investimentos Ltda. (Since 2004) and GG Capital Investimentos Ltda. (2012-2016). He also worked as a professor at the State University of Campinas - UNICAMP, Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (1984-1985), Assistant Faculty Fellow at the University of Notre Dame (1987). He graduated in Mechanical Engineering of Production from the Polytechnic School of the Universidade de Sao Paulo (USP), Masters in Economics from the Universidade Estadual de Campinas and Ph.D. in Economics from the Universidade Estadual de Campinas. Currently, he participates in the boards of directors of the following companies: (i) CSU Cadsystem, a provider of high technology services; (Ii) AmilSaúde, a health insurance company; (Iii) Companhia Providência Indústria e Comércio, manufacturer of nonwovens; (Iv) GOL Linhas Aéreas Inteligentes, commercial aviation company; (V) Banco Ribeirão Preto, a financial institution. None of these companies are part of the economic group of CPFL Energia, nor is it controlled by a shareholder holding more than 5% of the common shares of CPFL Energia.
