Biography
He holds a degree in Agronomy from the Federal University of Santa Maria (2000), a master's degree in Soil Science from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (2002) and a PhD in Soil Science from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (2006). He is a researcher at the Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation (Embrapa), which has been working at Embrapa Rondônia, in Porto Velho, RO since 2006. He has experience in Agronomy, with emphasis on Soil Science, mainly in the following subjects: Soil Fertility and Fertilization, Direct Planting System and Crop-Livestock-Forest Integration. Acted as Supervisor of the Laboratory of Analysis of Soils and Plants of Embrapa Rondônia. He served as Executive Secretary of the Internal Technical Committee (CTI) of Embrapa Rondônia. He was Chairman of the Local Intellectual Property Committee (CLPI). He was the Deputy Head of Technology Transfer at Embrapa Rondônia. He was Deputy Substitute Head of Research and Development at Embrapa Rondônia. He was the Director of the Western Amazon Regional Nucleus of the Brazilian Society of Soil Science. He served as a substitute member of the State Council for Sustainable Rural Development of Rondônia. He acted as Coordinator of the II Regional Meeting on Soil Science in the Western Amazon. Member of the Embrapa team that developed the "Beans with Rice" Project, which raised R $ 4,506,520.00, together with Energia Sustentável do Brasil S / A. Participated in the generation of important technologies for the State of Rondônia, such as: extension of recommendation of 10 cultivars of beans (2010), Zoning of the areas eligible to the no-tillage system (2011) and elaboration of Production Systems (Rice, Maize, Coffee, Banana, Pineapple, Teak, Bandarra and Milk). He is the editor of the book "Café na Amazônia". Besides possessing more than 170 publications in books, chapters of books, indexed magazines, technical magazines, technical and scientific vehicles online and in annals of technical-scientific events. Completed the Manager Development Program, carried out by Fundação Dom Cabral (2010) and has complementary training in: Development of Management Skills; Results Management; Team Sense; Strategic thought; Team Leadership; Knowledge management; Project Management Techniques; Management and Development of Competences; Contemporary Management; People management; Team work; Environment and Sustainable Development and Introductory Training of Researchers. In 2011, it received a Diploma of Recognition and Merit, for the excellence of its 5 years of service to Embrapa Rondônia, contributing decisively to its implementation and to the development of R & D and TT programs. He is currently a Member of the Arrangement Management Group Consolidation of the Direct Planting System in the Amazon (SPDAMAZON), Director of the Northwest Regional Nucleus of the Brazilian Society of Soil Science, Counselor of the Brazilian Society of Soil Science and General Manager of Embrapa Rondônia. contributing decisively to its implementation and to the development of R & D and TT programs.
