Biography
Wilson Ferreira Junior ( São Paulo , 3 of May of 1959 ), is an engineer and executive Brazilian , former president of the holding company Companhia Paulista de Forca e Luz (CPFL Energia) and current president of Eletrobras . Ferreira Júnior has a degree in Electrical Engineering and Business Administration from Universidade Mackenzie . He began his career as an engineer at the Companhia Energética de São Paulo ( CESP ), becoming the company's distribution director during the first term of Mário Covas as Governor of São Paulo . He moved to private enterprise in 1998 as the first president of Rio Grande Energia , a company created with the partial privatization of the distribution of electric power in Rio Grande do Sul by the then Governor Antônio Britto . In March 2000 , he took over the chairmanship of CPFL and, as of 2002, the CPFL Energia holding company . The newspaper Valor Econômico chose it for eight consecutive times for the "Value Executive" award in the category " electric energy " .
