Biography

Mr. Paulo Cesar de Souza e Silva, Also known as Lucas, has been the Chief Executive Officer and President of Embraer S.A. since July 2016. Mr. de Souza e Silva served as the Chief Executive Officer and President of Commercial Aviation at Embraer S.A until July 2016. He served as Executive Vice President of Commercial Aviation at Embraer SA. He joined Embraer in October, 1997, as Sales Financing Vice President for both the civil and defense and security markets. He has over 24 years experience in the banking industry, serving in a number of executive positions in major international financial institutions. He served as a Vice President in the Latin American group at Westdeutsche Landesbank, New York. He served as an Executive Vice President of Commercial Aviation at Embraer SA. He has participated in Embraer - Brazilian Aviation Co. Inc.'s strategic planning division since 1998 and was the coordinator of implementation of the modernization and cost-reduction strategy from 1990 to 1996. He has been working at Embraer for more than 16 years and is a representative of Embraer's employees. He served as Director of Embraer SA since 1999. He serves as a Director at Aviation Working Group. Mr. de Souza e Silva is a Graduate of the Mackenzie University, where he earned an Economics degree. He also holds an MBA in Finance from the Université de Lausanne.
