Biography
He holds a bachelor's degree in Agronomy from Universidade Federal de Lavras - UFLA (2006), MSc (2008) and Doctorate (2010) in Genetics and Improvement from Universidade Federal de Viçosa - UFV, and MBA in Business Management from Universidade de São Paulo / Escola Superior of Agriculture Luiz de Queiroz (USP / ESALq). He is currently Researcher A of the Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation (Embrapa), which is held at the National Agroenergy Research Center (CNPAE), acting as Deputy Head of Technology Transfer. He is also Coordinator of Planning and Business of the Embrapii Unit (Brazilian Company for Research and Industrial Innovation) - Renewables Biochemistry, member of the Sectorial Chamber of the Oilseeds and Biodiesel Production Chain of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply and member of the Technical Sub-Group of Security of the Critical Infrastructures of Oil, Natural Gas and Renewable Fuels of the Office of Institutional Security of the Presidency of the Republic. At Embrapa he is a member of the Oil Palm Portfolio Governance Committee. At Embrapa Agroenergia he is a natural member of the Internal Technical Committee, Chairman of the Local Committee on Intellectual Property and Chairman of the Local Publications Committee, as well as Substitute General Manager. He previously served as supervisor of the Programming Support Center (NAP) and Deputy Head of Research and Substitute Development. He also works in Research, Development and Innovation, advising and coordinating postgraduate students in the Agroecology programs of the State University of Roraima (UERR), Plant Biotechnology and Plant Physiology of UFLA, and Agronomy at the University of Brasília (UnB) where he teaches subjects related to Genetics, Genomics, Genetic Resources and Enhancement of energy crops. He also collaborates with the Getúlio Vargas Foundation (FGV) as a Collaborating Professor in the Master's Degree in Agribusiness. In recent years, he has also been a reviewer for 16 national and international journals and as a consultant for scientific development agencies in Brazil. He also coordinates projects funded by FINEP, CNPq and FAP-DF, and participates as responsible for subprojects and / or activities of eight other projects in the area of ​​perennial plant improvement. It works mainly in the areas of genetics, genomics and perennial species breeding, producing 26 scientific articles published in indexed journals (20 in the last 5 years), 11 books / book chapters and 63 abstracts in annals of events (another article is formally accepted for publication in indexed journals). In these areas, he has already guided / coordinated 2 students of scientific initiation, 3 postgraduate students (1 master's degree and 2 doctorates) and one post-doc. Currently, he / she guides / coorients three other postgraduate students, one at the master's level and another two at the doctoral level.
