Biography
He holds a bachelor's degree in Agricultural Engineering (1986) and a Master's degree in Soil Science (1988) from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, and a PhD in Agronomy in Soil Microbiology from the University of Georgia (1998). He is Researcher A of the Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation - Embrapa Soja. He has experience in the field of Agronomy, with emphasis on Microbiology and Soil Biochemistry, working mainly on the following topics: inoculation and biological nitrogen fixation in soybean, growth promoting bacteria (pgpr), microbial ecology, environmental impact assessment of transgenic soybeans and biocontrol.
