Biography

He holds a bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences (2004), MSc (2006) and Doctorate (2010) in Microbiology from the Federal University of Minas Gerais - UFMG (Belo Horizonte / MG). From 2010 to 2012 he developed post-doctoral activity in Molecular Genetics at the same institution. Since 2012, he is Researcher A of EMBRAPA Agroenergia (Brasília / DF) in the area of ​​Genetic Resources and Improvement of Microalgae for the Production of Biofuels and Bioproducts. In 2016, he became coordinator of the EMBRAPII Unit Biochemistry of Renewables, headquartered at EMBRAPA Agroenergia (Brasília / DF). In that same year he became Deputy Head of Research and Development at Embrapa Agroenergy. He is the author / inventor of 3 technological products already transferred to the private initiative and currently commercialized. Besides that, has produced three national patent applications (one already licensed and one commercialized) and one international patent application, 29 scientific articles published in indexed journals (H = 9 Index) and 2 book chapters.
