Edmar Das Mercês Penha

Biography

He has a degree in Chemical Engineering from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (1982) and a PhD in Food Technology from the State University of Campinas (2000) and a Master's Degree in Chemical Processes and Biochemical Technology from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. He is currently a researcher at Embrapa Agroindústria de Alimentos, a professor at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro and an adjunct professor at the State University of Rio de Janeiro. He has experience in Chemical Engineering, with emphasis in Biochemical Processes and Food Technology, working mainly in the processing of fruits for the manufacture of beverages such as fruit juices and industrialized green coconut water, and in the production of alcoholic beverages fermented and obtained by mixing , such as liqueurs.
