Biography
Graduated in Agronomy from the Federal University of Viçosa (1983), Masters in Genetics and Plant Breeding by the University of Minnesota-USA (1993) and PhD in Agronomy (Genetics and Plant Breeding) by ESALQ / USP (2007). Researcher A of the Brazilian Agricultural Research Company. He has worked in the area of ​​plant breeding, with emphasis on studies of nutritional efficiency (phosphorus and nitrogen), tolerance to abiotic stresses (drought, aluminum toxicity and acid soils) and in the development of maize varieties, strains and hybrids.
