Biography
He is a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Oxford, UK, Ph.D. in Geography (Rio Claro) by the Paulista State University Júlio de Mesquita Filho (2003) / Université d'Avignon, FR, master in Remote Sensing by the National Institute of Space Research (1995) ) and graduated in Agronomy from the Universidade Federal Rural da Amazônia (1986). He is currently the General Manager of Embrapa Amazônia Oriental and Professor of Post-Graduation in Environmental Sciences (UFPA / EMBRAPA / MPEG) and the Postgraduate Program in Natural Resource Management and Local Development (PPGDAM / NUMA / UFPA). He has experience in Geography, with emphasis on Spatial Information Analysis, working mainly in the following subjects: territorial planning, land use, remote sensing, Amazon, landscape dynamics and livestock in the Amazon.
