Biography

He holds a bachelor's degree in Agronomy from the Federal University of Paraíba (1988), a master's degree in Soil and Plant Nutrition by the Federal University of Viçosa (1991) and a PhD in Agronomy (Soil and Plant Nutrition) by Universidade Federal de Lavras (1999) with specialization in Microbiology and Soil Biochemistry. He has been Researcher at Embrapa Mandioca and Fruticultura since 1994. From 2008 to 2015 he coordinated the R & D area of ​​the Embrapa Unit and is a professor of the Agricultural Microbiology master's degree, a result of the partnership with UFRB. He carried out research activities in projects related to the use of low solubility nutrient sources, applicability of mycorrhizal fungi and endophytic bacteria, soil quality indicators, organic production of fruit tree seedlings and use of domestic and industrial waste and is responsible for the discipline of Microbial Ecology In R & D coordination, he led a project on innovation management that mapped, evaluated, improved and validated the model applied in Embrapa Mandioca and Fruticuultura. Since January 2016, he coordinates the TT area of ​​Embrapa Mandioca and Fruticultura, with the challenge of consolidating the innovation process.
