He is holding a bachelor's degree in Forest Engineering from Federal University of Paraná (1985), bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Federal University of Amazonas (1982), master's degree at Forest Resources and Forest Engineering from Federal University of Viçosa (1992) and doctorate at Forest Resources and Forest Engineering from Federal University of Paraná (2006). Has experience in Forest Resources and Forest Engineering, focusing on Forest Handling, acting on the following subjects: recovery of degraded areas, reforestation, wood formation, seeds and biomass.
