Biography
Holds a degree in Agronomy/Agricultural Engineering from the Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (?São Paulo State University?) - UNESP (1984), Master of Science (M.S.) in Agronomy from the same University (1990) and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Soil and Water Science from University of Florida (1999) and a Doctorate degree in Geosciences and Environment from UNESP (2007); is researcher at the Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation ? EMBRAPA, since 1990, and graduate program professor at the College of Agronomy - FCA / UNESP; was consultant to the Brazilian Ministry of Agriculture in Argentina, within the PROCISUR the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture ? IICA, in 1991; executive secretary of the Environmental Quality Program of the Brazilian National Agricultural Research System ? SNPA,between 1993 and 1995; and visiting researcher at the Institute of Food and Agricultural Science - IFAS, University of Florida, in 1996; has experience in the area of agriculture and environment, working mainly with ecological modeling and GIS in the framework of assessment and management of environmental risks, focusing on water and soil, and related issue.
