She is graduate in Agronomic Engineering from Federal University of Viçosa (1970), master's at Pos Graduação Fitotecnia Vegetal Production from Universidade Federal de Viçosa (1973) and ph.d. at Graduated Course in Agronomy from Purdue University (1984).
