Biography
Janice Reis Ciacci Zanella is a veterinarian with a degree from the Veterinary School of the Federal University of Minas Gerais, and a Ph.D. in Molecular Virology from the University of Nebraska. She is a researcher at EMBRAPA (Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation) in the area of Animal Virology. She participates in the Brazilian Agriculture Ministry's Swine Health Program Technical Committee and three OIE Ad Hoc committees: Classical Swine Fever, African Swine Fever and Swine Influenza as representative of Brazil. From 2008 - 2010 she served as a visiting researcher at the NADC / ARS / USDA. She is currently Director General of Embrapa Swine and Poultry Research Center.Animal Virology.
