Biography

He is Graduated in Agronomy (1995) and master's degree in Agronomy (Phytopathology) from the Federal University of Viçosa (1997) and PhD in Agronomy (Phytopathology) at the University of Guelph (Canada) and Federal University of Viçosa (2001) (sandwich program). Was professor of plant pathology by (FESURV - UniRV-GO) and Environmental Microbiology at PUC-Campinas. Is a researcher of the Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation, at Embrapa Environment since 2001. He has experience in Agronomy with emphasis on Phytopathology, working on issues: epidemiology, biological control and bio-compatible methods in the control of plant diseases. Acted as Chairman of the Committee (CGPort) of Rational Management of Pesticides and member of the Management Committee of SaniFrut Project Arrangement (Technology Solutions for the Great Phytosanitary Challenges of Tropical Fruits). Is the Coordinator of the Working Group on Biological Control of the Southern Cone Plant Health Committee (COSAVE). As a manager, he held positions of Head of Communication and Business (2010/2011), Head of Technology Transfer (2011/2012) and Head of Research and Development (2012/2015) at Embrapa Environment. Since December, 2015 is a General Head at Embrapa Environment.
